This presentation will cover the new features in the server and operations center, the client HSM for Windows, and HSM on UNIX. I will then turn it over to Sean to cover the VE and Spectrum Protect Data Protection for Windows new features. Spectrum Protect version 8.1.2 was announced on August 8, 2017, and GA'd on August 11, 2017. In 8.1.2, you can now utilize client deployment to seamlessly and securely deploy Spectrum Protect client updates. This ability is offered via the command line and replaces the existing client push mechanism that was in the admin center. We are looking at integrating this in the future into the operations center as well. With the backup archive client updates, you can update clients that are greater than or equal to version 6.4.3 up to the most recent version, which is 8.1.2. However, the backup archive clients do have to have a client-accepted daemon scheduler running. The 8.1.2 version of Spectrum Protect supports the platforms and operating system versions that are supported by Spectrum Protect version 8.1. If you are running the 7.1.8 release, it will support the operating systems in version 7.1. Please note that this is not a greenfield install and does not work with cluster node deployments, TDPS HSM, or storage agents. In addition, you cannot use this technology to either downgrade or to do the initial configuration and modification of a client. There is a minimum amount of free space required on the client. IBM Spectrum Scale (GPS) V4.2: Supports all Fiber Channel Virtual LAN (VLAN) 1 (0 and 10) IBM Spectrum Scale (GPS) V4.17: Supports VLAN 2 (0 and 11) 4.4 Please provide me with the list of supported Fiber Channel network devices.
